Course overview
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD is a recommended first line therapy in current treatment guidelines world-wide. This 1-day workshop builds on CPT Foundational training, teaching participants how to deliver CPT in a group setting. In addition to discussing the research base supporting group delivery of CPT, participants will receive instruction on elements ranging from assessing patient suitability and considerations for group composition to ways to effectively engage trauma processing in a group setting. A session-by-session review of the protocol and video-recorded examples will serve to highlight considerations when working with group-delivery CPT. Please note that this group workshop builds upon the knowledge and skills developed in the Foundational CPT training. Thus, attendance at a prior CPT Foundational workshop is required to register.

Prior completion of a CPT for PTSD Foundational training is required in order to register for the Group Adaptation training.
