Credentialing in Treatment Models

To ensure clinicians are fully prepared to deliver a specific treatment package with confidence and competence, the training model includes two essential components: the Foundational Course and Case Consultation - both are required to be recognized as a Trained Provider.

Foundational Course

The Foundational Course offers a comprehensive introduction to the treatment model, including its core concepts, structure, and clinical strategies. Participants build a solid understanding of the intervention and learn how to begin applying its principles in practice.
Clinicians may choose to complete this course on their own. However, completing the Foundational Course alone does not qualify a clinician as a trained provider.

Case Consultation

As clinicians begin implementing a new intervention or work with novel populations, it is natural for questions and complex situations to arise. Case Consultation provides the expert guidance needed to successfully navigate these challenges.
Through structured consultation sessions, clinicians receive:
  • Support in applying the model with fidelity
  • Answers to clinical questions that emerge in real-world practice
  • Feedback from experienced trainers
  • Opportunities to strengthen confidence and competence in delivering the intervention
This hands-on support is essential for developing true clinical proficiency.

Recognized as a Trained Provider

Clinicians who complete both the Foundational Course and the full Case Consultation series will receive:
A Certificate of Full Training
Only those who complete both components are recognized as Trained. Different models will have different requirements for Foundational Workshop and Consultation, and there are different levels of competency depending on the model being trained. Completion of the Foundational Course alone results in documentation of course completion but not Trained-provider status.

Frequently asked questions

Can I attend courses and not credential?

Yes!  You can achieve CEUs through our courses.

Is the Nellie Education credentialling program based on the requirements of the treatment developers of each model?

Yes.  Our credentialing program is based on the training requirements outlined by each of the Treatment Developers.  We have worked closely with the developers to ensure that the Foundational Workshop Trainers & Consultants are sanctioned by the Treatment Developers.

How long does it take to accomplish a Credential?

This can take 6 - 9 months to achieve.  The full process can also depend on the training model and it's individual requirements.

If I only take the Foundational Course do I have to immediately take the Consultation component?

No.  Most models have no time limit on pursuing Consultation following completion of the Foundational Workshop, however, for the benefit of your learning we would recommend that it not be more than 18 months between Foundational Workshop and you starting Case Consultation.  Additionally, Nellie Education does offer discounts and promotions when purchased and taken together.

Do I have to pay for all the Consultation upfront?

Nellie Education offers payment plans to split the cost of the program over time.
