Course overview
Psychedelic-assisted therapy is a combined psychotherapeutic and pharmacologic intervention that involves administering a psychedelic agent (such as MDMA, psilocybin, or LSD) alongside structured psychotherapy or psychological support. Emerging evidence suggests potential benefits for several mental health concerns, including major depressive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, and cancer-related distress.
This presentation will describe the core elements of psychedelic-assisted therapy and outline how the approach differs from standard pharmacological treatment and conventional psychotherapy.
