Research on CPT has been conducted with a close eye on fidelity and findings indicate that CPT works better with good fidelity. We will also discuss how much you can bend the protocol before it breaks. Those attending will be given a link to the updated fidelity forms.

Dr. Patricia Resick

Dr. Resick is Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University and Adjunct Professor at the Medical University of South Carolina. A pioneer in PTSD treatment, she developed Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) in 1988 and has led numerous clinical trials. Dr. Resick served as President of both the ISTSS and ABCT. She has won research and mentoring awards as well as Lifetime Achievement Awards from the Trauma Division (56) of the APA, ISTSS, and ABCT.
