What you are going to learn

About this course

Most supervision and peer consultation is conversation about a case - useful, but fundamentally different from being able to navigate a difficult moment when it actually happens in the room. The Sentio Supervision model for Deliberate Practice puts the skill itself at the centre. Instead of broad discussion, we identify the specific moment that is hard for this therapist with this client, then rehearse it repeatedly until the response is available under pressure.

This session is intentionally highly interactive, reflecting Dr. Aejen Tamminga’s hands‑on teaching style. He believes clinicians learn best through active engagement: stepping into the moment, practicing out loud, receiving targeted feedback, and refining the skill through structured repetition. You won’t be sitting back and listening — you’ll be working, trying, adjusting, and strengthening your clinical performance in real time.

Because this approach depends on meaningful participation and individualized coaching, attendance is capped to maintain a small‑group environment. Every clinician will have the opportunity to work directly with Dr. Tamminga, rehearse challenging moments, and experience the Sentio model as it’s meant to be taught: focused, experiential, and deeply practical.

This is not a passive webinar. It’s a skill‑building lab designed to help you handle difficult moments more effectively — not just talk about them.

You will learn:

  • Walk through steps 3 - 6 of the Sentio Supervision model
  • Apply the model to a case of your own that is stuck.
  • Practice the specific moments you tend to avoid or find challenging — out loud, with feedback.
  • Leave with a structure you can run in Supervision or with peers
Please Note:  There will be some limited prework required prior to the live session.
